When I first met my husband 10 years ago, lunch was a drive through cheeseburger and large diet coke from McDonalds, almost every day.
My motto: I’ll live forever. No time for lunch. Working for the money. Working for my future – Not the Weekend. I’m exhausted because I’m: Busy Busy Busy.
Now years later, I do have savings for my future and I’ve paid down a chunk of my debt, but I have to watch everything I eat. I never drink sodas. Nope, those cheeseburgers are gone. If, fast food, then only chicken.
I manage my sugar, eat healthy things I don’t really care for. And I push myself to work-out on an Elliptical.
I’ve had my right hip replaced, my gallbladder removed, a hernia repaired 3x, and a c-section birth. Then there is the old high blood pressure, arthritis, cholesterol and every day aches and pains.
This body does not live forever, no matter what I thought in my naive thinking as a child. It is the temple where the Holy Spirit resides in all Christians. A big responsibility to care for.
If I understood sooner that Health is Wealth, I would probably be in better shape, today. Start now for a better future. Donna
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (CEV)You surely know that your body is a temple where the Holy Spirit lives. The Spirit is in you and is a gift from God. You are no longer your own. God paid a great price for you. So use your body to honor God.
