When I was growing up, I received several awards. Some deserved. Some not.
In 4-H, I won an award for creating a “Score a Touchdown For United Way” poster with a big brawny football player on it. Nope, I’m not a big sports fan.
I was shocked to win the “Ms. Future Homemaker” award in my senior year of high school. Nope, I’m definitely not a homemaker.
At 9 years old, I won first place in a poetry contest for my poem, “Love Is”. I can still remember some of the lines. I torture my employee by having them write anonymous poems for other employees on their birthdays. It really is fun.
God knew that I would one day use my poetry skills and now I have been adding poetry into my daily devotion posts.
He is pretty clever isn’t he? Love Donna
