I used to think I have to do something great in this life to be of any worth. President of the US? Not gonna happen. Rich and Famous? Love to be but I realized it was my prideful heart driving me — not my love for Christ. I’ve come to realize: to be a light to others; to be the hands and feet of Jesus for others is what my life is made for.

So, I look for something I can do each day to bless someone else. A daily gift of chocolate and power bars to a 93-year-old man I know; calling 911 for a lady stuck on the street in her electric wheelchair when others walked by; taking boxes of hot tacos to the homeless in Williams Park while my husband waited in the car to watch over me. Many times, I am nervous or afraid – out of my comfort zone – but each time after, I am overwhelmed with an indescribable feeling – like a little bit of the glory of God washing over me.

Jeremiah 29: 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.Acts 7: 55 But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. I’m sorry Lord for all the years it took me to understand. Thank you for the wisdom you continue to bring into my life so I can work out my sanctification in a way that is pleasing to you. Bring me someone new today that I can be a light too.
